According to the piece, the e-discovery field has grown 300 percent in the last few years to become a $2 billion industry. IT pros can assist in e-discovery in a number of ways, from assessing a clients electronically stored information (ESI) to helping create ESI preservation policies and drafting litigation hold procedures.
In addition to being an in-demand career path, e-discovery personnel are also often well compensated, earning between $125,000 and $250,000 in New York.
