7 in 10 businesses admit to authentication shortcomings
QAS, February 18, 2008
A new study conducted by Positive Networks restates the concern that many companies just aren’t prepared to deal with electronic data preservation. According to the research, seven in ten businesses do not feel ready to adequately preserve electronic data, fearing that their data authentication practices are not fully up to par.
We find this information interesting considering the fact that although business professionals understand the need for electronic data protection, many companies still aren’t property equipped with the means to do so. Whether it’s because individuals don’t fully understand the concept, don’t have time to implement procedures or they don’t have the means to take action, the fact is they need to find a solution. Data breaches are happening all too often and none of us can take the chance of sliding through another day by pure luck.
