Surety Announces Partnership with reDesignLive

March 7, 2007

Surety announced today that it has reached a partnership agreement with reDesignLive, a provider of comprehensive business information solutions to professionals, to distribute AbsoluteProof to reDesignLive’s business customers.

The combined offering will give SMBs using Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) devices or electronic financial records a competitive advantage by protecting the Intellectual Property (IP) assets contained in these documents and supporting compliance efforts by ensuring that financial records have not been tampered or inadvertently altered. AbsoluteProof provides a security procedure that objectively demonstrates the time of creation and content integrity of electronic records, placing client organizations in the strongest possible position if and when the authenticity of that data is challenged by an opposing party. The integration of Surety’s AbsoluteProof digital timestamp solution into reDesignLive’s offerings brings the same assurance and protection solutions implemented by large organizations to SMBs in an economical package, delivered via a hosted ASP model.

“SMBs have the same legal and compliance challenges as large enterprise organizations and proving the authenticity of electronic data in lab notebooks and financial records is a major component of these burdens,” said Tom Klaff, CEO, Surety, LLC. “Electronic records can be used against SMBs in the course of litigation, financial audits and regulatory investigations. It is crucial that SMB owners have the ability to prove that their electronic records are trustworthy and have not been tampered.”
